| Neil Congratulates Primary School on Grant | |

Airdrie and Shotts MSP Alex Neil has congratulated Alexander Peden Primary School on receiving a £10000 Awards for All grant from Big Lottery Fund. The grant will be used for engaging a landscaper to develop an eco-garden on the school grounds. Awards for All grants are awarded to those who take part in art, sport, heritage and community activities, and projects that promote education, the environment and health in the local community. The project meets the Awards for All outcomes of “People have better and more sustainable services and environment” and “People and communities are healthier”. Alex Neil said: “This grant comes off the back of an impressive inspection report of the school. We are very proud of the hard work at Alexander Peden primary and their subsequent achievements. “This award is an investment in education and will be a benefit to our young people. I want to congratulate the teachers, pupils and parents at Alexander Peden Primary School on the receipt of this award.” ENDS |
