| Airdrie Health Centre given Scottish Government approval | |

Commenting on the news that the new Airdrie Health Centre has been formally approved by the Scottish Government, Central Scotland MSP Alex Neil said: “The approval of the new Airdrie Health Centre is fantastic news not just for the health of the people of Airdrie but for the regeneration of Airdrie town centre. “This, along with safeguarding Monklands A & E, is another healthcare promise kept by the SNP for the people of Airdrie. "I am confident that the new health centre will breathe new life into Airdrie by improving the health care on offer to its residents. "This first class NHS facility in a prime location will draw people back into the town centre and hopefully boost business in the area. "I know that there is some concern that the new health centre will increase congestion in the town centre, so I hope North Lanarkshrie Council do what they can to alleviate these concerns." |
