Central Scotland SNP MSP Alex Neil has said he was delighted to be able to announce a £17.6million affordable housing investment for North Lanarkshire this week.
The new Scottish Government Housing Minister has long campaigned on Lanarkshire housing issues as a backbencher and is now thrilled to be in a position to make a difference:
“It was great to be able to announce that level of affordable housing investment for North Lanarkshire. This money will make a real difference to the area.
“Here in Lanarkshire there is an urgent need for new housing to reduce waiting lists and to tackle homelessness, this money will be a massive step in the right direction.
“After campaigning for so long on housing issues it is great to now be in a decision making position where I can make a real difference.”
